How can I start working with you?You can message me through my website on the "Work with Me" page or just e-mail me directly at marissa@marissasilver.com. I usually set-up a free 10 minute discovery call or video chat to discuss your needs and make sure it's a fit for you. From there, I will create a HIPAA compliant client portal where you can complete new client documents and then, we will schedule a 75-minute intake appointment to go through your health and nutrition history. After that, we discuss follow-up appointments and work to meet your goals!

What should I expect from appointments with you?First and foremost, I listen to what your priorities and goals are and focus each session on what is top of mind and most important to you. I try to make my sessions interactive with videos, images, charts/data and activities alongside talking through your successes, challenges and updates. I would say that no two sessions are ever the same!

Do you accept insurance?Yes! I am credentialed and contracted with Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Harvard Pilgrim, UniCare, Mass General Brigham, Aetna and Cigna. Coverage for nutrition counseling does vary by your specific policy but I will help guide you with all the right questions to ask your insurance provider so you are aware of your policy's coverage. If I do not accept your insurance provider, I do offer out-of-pocket payment options. Please e-mail me at marissa@marissasilver.com to discuss this further.

Would you work with my care team and other healthcare providers?Absolutely! I am a strong believer that no practitioner should work in isolation. One of my favorite parts about being a Registered Dietitian is how much I get to collaborate care for my patients with their interdisciplinary team. With a release form signed by you, I can connect, communicate and collaborate with your team including your primary care physician, specialists (Gastroenterologists, Endocrinologists, etc), mental health professionals, family members, etc.

What are your specialties?Great question! I do work with clients on general nutrition guidance and nutrition related to chronic disease and prevention (and love to do so!). However, if you're looking for my "bread and butter" it's nutrition regarding gastrointestinal concerns/health, eating disorders and disordered eating. I work with both teens and adults.
